My opinion on Ateneo shooting suspect, Chao-Tiao Yumol
May direktang linya sa pagitan ng karahasan, pekeng balita at kultura ng impunity na isinulong ni dating Pangulo Duterte at ang pamamaril sa Ateneo law graduation noong July 24.
But before I share my thoughts, I would like to extend my condolences. Eternal rest and Justice for the victims. Former Lamitan City Mayor Rose Furigay, Victor George Capistrano, her executive assistant and Jeneven Bandiala, the Ateneo security guard.
I tweeted the identity of the suspect shortly after news organizations verified the suspect.”The suspect of Ateneo law graduation shooting is Dr. Chao-Tiao Yumol. For those who made allegations earlier on political color , his posts show who he supported. Parang troll lang. ” Just read through the comments.
A shooting inside a campus on graduation day should have been a happy occasion but the suspect had a personal vendetta. The mere fact that he seized a car, changing his shirt is an indication that he thought he could get away with the multiple shootings? For someone to make a run for it, I attribute this to the culture of violence and impunity that has been institutionalized and normalized in the last six years. Yumol took the law into his own hands. He said, the Furigays are drug lords. Appropriate cases were filed. According to Mindanao Voices, PDEA-BARMM issued a clearance. Contrary to the accusations by Doctor Chao Tiao Yumol that the political leaders in Lamitan City and Basilan are involved in the trend of illegal drugs, these photos from the Mindanao Voices are authentic copies of clearances signed by the then director of the agency’s office in the Bangsamoro region, Juvenal Azurin, and from the Provincial Peace and Order Council of Basilan.

What exactly is the true story?
What is even shocking i,s fanatical supporters of the suspect are full of praises or justifying his actions. This is unacceptable. Making excuses for someone who took the law into his own hands is wrong. What happened to the moral fiber of our country?

A lot of disinformation is circulating on TiktoK and YouTube so I posted a TikTok video which garnered close to 260,000 views as of today. This is the YouTube version.
My TikTok video garnered over 265,000 views.
