Read Blog Watch feature article The truth about PCSO: She said, He said.
May 20, 2011- Margarita “Margie” Pecson Juico is the new Chairman of the Philippines Charity Sweepstakes Office. With the controversy and allegations from the previous chairman about the transfer of the main office from the Quezon Institute to PICC with a hardcopy statements and questions to the new chair, Margie Juico breaks her silence.
Together with the CEO of Manila Times and PCSO new PR Chief Mr. Dante Ang, Board Secretary Atty. Eduardo Araullo, General Manager Jose Ferdinand Rojas II and PCSO Director Aleta Tolentino, the new chief explained that the former PCSO building is rented for 2.4 Million a month (which according to Morato was free thus in exchange was a grant for 2.4 M to help support the Quezon Institute Hospital) and is not structurally sound anymore thus the transfer to 1.9M monthly rent to PICC inside the CCP Complex in Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.
Director Aleta Tolentino said that their stay in PICC is just temporary and chose the place because it’s already in a move in condition. In two years time they are planning to vacate the area and build their own office somewhere.
Atty. Eduardo Araullo mentioned yesterday that they filed a case against the former PR chief Manuel Garcia before the office of the Ombudsman for alleged violations of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act with 40% kickbacks and that they have deposit slips to prove this.
With both statements received by Blog Watch from Mr. Manuel “Manoling” Morato and Mrs. Margie Juico both are exchanging allegations. From the hardcopy statement of the new chairman that we receieved, this is the last phrase:
“ The other issues he raised last week and weeks before that do not deserve a comment except to say that in many of his statements he refers to his illustrious father. Yes, his late father was an honorable man. However to paraphrase a famous saying, “Unlike father, unlike son.” What a shame.”
From the interview we did last week with Morato, his last statement was “ Juico is a congenital Liar.” Truth or Lie at the end it’s the Filipino people that matter most. .
