Friends in mapping, contributing to the “7,100 Islands Encoding Project” is easy! Geocoding the actual locations and historical names matter towards accounting for islands and communities. Such accounting will be really helpful for disaster risk reduction and management; climate change adaptation, etc.

The 7,100 Islands Encoding Project is a crowd-sourced endeavor to digitize the official list of 7,100 islands of the Philippines that was published by the Commonwealth of the Philippines in the 1939 Census Atlas of the country.
