“May mga nagsumbong po sa amin na mga nasa administrasyon ngayon na meron po silang masamang balakin. Meron sila ngayong ‘Operation Put the Little Girl to Sleep.’ Ni-report na po sa amin ‘yan,” said Horn.
[Some people from the administration have told us that they have evil designs. They have what they call “Operation Put the Little Girl to Sleep.” This has been reported to us.]
Kami po ay medyo nababahala kasi nakikita naman natin kung gaano ‘yung insistence ni Secretary De Lima atsaka ni Chairman Brillantes na ang dating pangulo po ay ilagay sa isang government hospital,” she added.
[We’re a bit concerned, because we’ve seen the insistence of Justice Secretary Leila de Lima and Comelec Chairman Sixto Brillantes to put the former president in a government hospital.)
Secretary Butch Abad on ANC says ” I have a suggestion to Len Horn. While she’s at St. Luke’s, get a psychiatrist bec. I think she has serious problems.” Horn replies “I don’t mind if that will give them comfort, that I’m sane.”
Some reactions on the plot makes fun of the name.
“Put the Little Girl to Sleep is such an obvious plot name. howsabout jump over d moon said d monkeyeatingeagle #lessobvious #naisipkolang” Jay R De Los Reyes adds:”Put the little girl to sleep … Lakas maka fairytale… Sleeping + witch + dwarf”
Others suggested better names like Mang Burns “how about Oplan: ‘Grab the BULLshit by the HORN’ instead. #TVPatrol”
Twitter reactions show that this alleged plot sounds incredible. Many do not believe there is a threat to Arroyo’s life. It appears as a desperate measure to make sure Arroyo gets house arrest. Public sympathy appears to have died with this recent revelation by the Arroyo camp. Sen Pres. Enrile says even if Oplan “Put the little girl to sleep” is far fetched, govt. should look into it. On the other hand, Sen. Panfilo Lacon thinks ” They are faking it with funny name codes. I hope CGMA Camp will not resort to faking her death.”
