The President with heart-shaped balloons and Valentine Day Tweets
The celebration of Valentine’s day is very much alive in Twitter. Jokes, love quotes , photos of flowers and gifts are shared.
I shared one of my favorite love quotes through a blog entry, “The art of love ..is largely the art of persistence”.
Our dear president is not telling his plans for Valentine’s day.
It’s … I can’t take a day off for any day, be it my birthday, Christmas, New Year, etc. There are attendant duties. Somehow, you cannot really divorce yourself from the seriousness of the job and try to have a few light moments. Somehow … it’s the heavy stuff that intrudes into the light moments, every time.
All we know is that he got heart-shaped balloons from kids with Cancer when he visited them at Tahan-Tahanan. (It is a halfway home for kids with cancer and their family/caregivers who come from the provinces and seek treatment in Metro Manila hospitals)
