Blog Watch is co-organizing a “Bloggers forum on the Expanding Epidemic of HIV in the Philippines” together with the Philippine Legislators’ Committee on Population and Development (PLCPD) and the Office of Kabataan Partylist – Rep. Raymond Palatino with support from the UNFPA and Joint United Nations Programme on HIV-AIDS (UN AIDS) .
We will discuss the expanding epidemic of HIV in the Philippines. Records from the national Epidemiology Center of the Department of Health say that there is a 587% increase in HIV cases from 2006 to present. This number increases at a rate of 1 in every 2 1/2 hours.
