Padcal incident caused by Philex Mining Corporation. It is of grave concern because it puts at risk the well-being of literally thousands of Filipinos: including those that partake of the bounty of the environment these two projects have and threaten to destroy.

This disaster never reached media due to a news blackout. It was only after the release of the results of a fact-finding mission by Fr. Edu Gariguez and other organizations that this issue came afloat. And it eventually reached the peak of publicity when Ted Failon made an exposé.

People need to know about this issue. This is the truth. As long as people are ignorant the abuse will go on.
